I have always, always, been able to handle threats. You are not the worst I have seen. The worse the things you do, the worse you will suffer, in the end. I am so grateful, however, than Miss Unohana will always heal the wounded. I wonder why Mello didn't kill you, though...

Either he knows it is useless... or despite all his protests, domeino Mello enjoys having an enemy. It wouldn't surprise me much, you know, there's a hunger to him that I know well. Some men are never happy without someone to hate.

I don't know what land you come from, domeino, or what things you might have seen. But I'll assure you, as a man who drank war with his mother's milk, that there's no greater lie told to the meek than that lie of equivalence you're spouting. I will do what I will do, and you will attempt to stop or punish me, and so it goes - there's nothing else to it. It doesn't matter which of us thinks he's just, only which of us is stronger.
