I don't know that he does, only that he apparently deals with alchemy. Which is of course nonsense, but who am I to tell him that, considering that I still pray to the sun?

I thought that's what alchemy was. But of course. One who has beliefs should think before criticizing those of others, else holes be found in what they follow.

Though with what I have seen in this place, may impossibilities may well be possible.

I'm willing to believe anything that I see with my own eyes, and half the things I hear tales about. He might have some unique ability or other and call it alchemy. In rural Betairun, some people still call Guardians witches.

A Guardian is a warrior who is bound to a country, and has some ability to act on this bond.

Those are difficult questions, doma. The spirits of this land have every right to do as they please, and I won't be the man to defy them. But community leaders... do we have them, really?
